Introducing Wendy Kennedy, Newest Expert

wendykennedysm.jpgI am delighted to introduce Wendy Kennedy (read her profile here), our newest contributor here at Small Business Trends. By day Wendy is the Editor of the Register.com Learning Center and as such has a lot of great insights to offer.

The reason I am spending more time on domain names and other related online issues here is that we business owners just need more insights on how to run the online aspects of our businesses.

It’s not as easy as you might think to find information geared toward the needs of small businesses.

For instance, 85% of what is written regarding domain names is really for professional “domainers” who buy and sell domain names as a unique business. Most of us are not in that class. We just want to know how to choose a domain name that works for our business, how to get a Web presence up and keep it running, how to manage our online brands — and not step on any land mines in the process. That’s the kind of nuts and bolts information Wendy will be providing — relating it to our existences.

I met Wendy last year in New York and was impressed by her focus on providing reliable information for the small business community.
