A Business Made of Sharing Others’ Advice

Kare Anderson, Moving from Me to WeKare Anderson is a two-time Emmy Award winner, a former NBC TV commentator and a former Wall Street Journal reporter. And we are lucky to have her participating freely on the Web in blogs and in podcasts.

If you don’t know Kare, she’s definitely someone you should get to know.

Kare is an expert in the art of partnering and joint venturing. Kare has been a guest author here, and I’ve also featured her on my radio show.

Not long ago, Kare turned the tables and interviewed me on her podcast blog, which is called “Moving From Me to We.” As you can tell from the name, her site is about focusing on others as an integral part of your business. It’s about accomplishing more together than you can alone.

When Kare interviewed me, we discussed how to tap into the collective intelligence of the community.  Some things you can do are:  invite guest contributions, interview others, and spread others’ advice.  We also discussed how all that comes together in a business model here at Small Business Trends.

So I invite you to check out the interview at: Involve Your Clients in Growing Your Company.

    Kare Anderson,

Have you read Stefan Engeseth’s book, One - A Consumer Revolution for Business? http://www.detectivemarketing.com/books/

I listened to an inspirational speech by Stefan Engeseth some weeks ago.

  6. Susan Oakes Says:

It was a great interview Anita. As you always share information and get involvement from this community I noticed in the interview you also managed to mention other people etc and which I think sets you and this site apart from your competitors.

  7. Amanda Says:

Susan, That’s definitely a good point to mention, Anita will never take all of the credit for the success of this site. She is always so eager to mention and thank her contributors. I would have to agree that it does set her apart from others.

  8. Kare Anderson Says:

    I heartily concur!

Anita is always shining a spotlight on others,
reaching out to spread credit and to be generous in her advice.

No wonder large companies want to burnish their brand by involving Anita in their events.

Anita has been a role model for me for some while in how she brings out the best in others through her strategic use of social media.

Thanks, Anita, for the interview. And Martin (above) thanks for the book referral. I’ll lok it up. just finished two captivating books on the flights to and from New Zealand: SuperClass and How the Brain Changes Itself.
    Kare

  9. Martin Lindeskog Says:

Kare, How was the flight and stay in NZ? I will check out your book tips.
