Using the Library Can Earn You Media Coverage

American Library AssociationIf you are a woman business owner and you used a library in some way to start your business, you might get a chance at media visibility in a major magazine.

The American Library Association and Woman’s Day magazine have teamed up to highlight four women business owners who used the library when starting their businesses.

Many of us have used the library for our businesses. I have — lots of times. Perhaps you used it to research a business plan, or to dig up company contact information for marketing campaigns, or just as a quiet place to think and strategize about your business.

If so, write out your story in under 700 words and submit it by May 10, 2007. The winners will be featured in the March 2008 issue of Woman’s Day magazine. Go here for official rules and information about where to email your entry:
