Nominations are open for the New York Enterprise Report Small Business Awards. Five smaller enterprises from the New York area will be honored for their accomplishments and best practices in the following areas:

- Human Resources
- Marketing
- Leadership
- Sales
- Technology

There are 400,000+ small businesses in the trial-state region surrounding New York. If you represent one of those businesses, or if you know another worthy small business in the New York area, put a nomination in.

I understand from Rob Levin, the Publisher of the New York Enterprise Report, that last year’s awards reception was quite a popular networking event. The winners got significant media coverage, not only in the New York Enterprise Report, but also on FoxNews.com.

And if you represent a large company that wants a presence among small businesses, consider a sponsorship. It sounds to me like a great place to be seen and a way to show your support for the small business market.
