Small Business Blogs Grow in Places Like Akron Ohio
Here in the United States, blogging originally started out mainly as a Coast thing — you know, mostly on the East Coast and, especially, the West Coast. At first it was only the most tech savvy and the early adopters who had blogs.
In the business blogging space (the area I am most familiar with), it’s been exciting to watch blogging take off in small cities and towns and even rural areas across the United States.
For instance, in places like Akron, Ohio.
Several local business bloggers from here in Ohio that I know appear in today’s Akron Beacon Journal. Journalist Sarah Filus highlights the growth of small business blogging.
Ron McDaniel, CEO of buzz marketing firm Buzzoodle and who runs the Buzzoodle Buzz Marketing blog, was all over the article. An expert in buzz marketing (after all, that’s his business), Ron is quoted as saying, “The blog itself doesn’t create a buzz, but it makes you established as an expert in your field. Being an expert in your field creates a buzz.”
Deborah Chaddock Brown was also featured for her AllWrite Ink Musings blog, which supports her communications and writing business.
And Rick Maselli, owner of a local construction company, was featured for his new construction blog, Level Advice.
Nice.

Thanks for the mention Anita.
Whenever I mention that you are a small business guru and blogger and are located here in NE Ohio, everyone is surprised. They always think you have to be by a salt water ocean to be a leading expert.
You had some great stats that were very helpful to that article.

Thanks Anita,
I really appreciate you mentioning my new blog site. I am so excited about what one small article in the Beacon has done to put leveladvice.com on Google’s search as well as my construction company. I am sure that your mention of it here will be a great help as well. I just hope that the advice and information I am trying to give people at LevelAdvice.com will be of a great service to others.
Thanks again, Rick
